Bright & Festive Cinco de Mayo Tablescape

I love bringing people together for laughter, fun, good food, drinks, and ambiance. Entertaining doesn't have to be expensive or stressful. I hope you are all inspired by my budget-friendly tablescapes! It seems we've hit an era where women are too tired to host and entertain. I think this is largely due to the expectation we put on ourselves to make sure everything is CLEAN and PERFECT right? Where people really don't care if your house is clean or dirty, we just want to connect and have a good time. If your house is dirty then that just means you are human!

I had so much fun working with my sweet friend Esmie over at The Flour Boutique in putting together this bright & festive Cinco de Mayo-themed tablescape! In our house, tacos and margaritas are almost a weekly occurrence! I chose hot pink, turquoise, and orange as the base color palette and complemented it with matte black candle holders and terracotta accents! Again, ya'll know I do everything on a budget so everything here was a bargain buy or on sale! I always save our nice tequila bottles to repurpose as vases (and my friend Esmie saves them for me too now, and we share our collection for our parties)! So here I used 3 beautiful tequila bottles that had turquoise accents.

If you would like to see how we make our tacos, leave me a comment! I can do a post on our taco bar! I feel like most people have their go-to tacos so I didn't include our taco recipe.

Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas say what?!

You can't have a proper Cinco de mayo without margaritas! And we make a TON of varieties in our house, this skill set really was birthed during quarantine! LOL! Out of all the margaritas I made during that time, the strawberry jalapeño one was my fave! I became quite the bartender! But I love the science and creativity that goes into mixing and blending different tonics, flavors, juices, fruits, and liquors. You can find the link to the strawberry jalapeño margaritas here

Now can we talk about these amazing churro cupcakes?! My friend Esmie over at The Flour Boutique makes the most amazing sweet treats! She leveled up my table by adding her amazing churro cupcakes! If you need a cake or special treats, follow her on Instagram @the_flour_boutique ! She posts weekly specials!

These were SOOOOO GOOD!!! I ate them for dinner the next night! LOL! Contact @the_flour_boutique to put in an order!

Loving the terracotta placecards! I used these earlier in the week for a colorful fruit themed styled shoot and thought, hey these go with the Cinco de Mayo theme too!

Okay, this little bar cart tho?! So, true story...I've been wanting a bar cart FOREVER...but let's face it..it's not a necessity! When I'm on the hunt for one, they always seem overpriced or maybe I just don't want to spend the money. BUT when I saw that HOBBY LOBBY had this beauty on sale for $80 you know Mama had to take advantage okay! I bought a $5 terracotta plant base to use as a bar cart sign! That wasn't my idea, stolen from good ol Pinterest! The little tray that the margaritas are on is from Target Dollar Spot!

The cute margarita glasses with the raffia or seagrass wrapped around ARE FROM THE TARGET DOLLAR SPOT..ok I'll stop yelling LOL! Remember in my last Easter post I shared with you guys that's my secret spot for cute glasses?! Right now they have some pretty stemless wine glasses!

The terracotta glasses are called cantaritos! My friend Esmie had these and I HAD TO HAVE THEM! I found them at a local Mexican Grocery Store called Arteaga's for $2.59! Perfect for Palomas or Margaritas! Even ice water! They are SO CUTE! Okay, can we talk about these chargers?! Sooooo freakin cute right?! They are from Hobby Lobby as well! They had a ton of different styles perfect for Cinco de Mayo! I found the turquoise fabric napkins there too for $1.79 each! The black plates are from Kirkland's! I always invest in dishware that is in neutral tones so I can use them in multiple ways! I found the little terracotta succulents at Trader Joe's for $4.99 and the flowers were from there too! They have small bunches for $3.99 and I bought 3.

Please leave me a comment if you have any questions or would like to know where I sourced anything else!
