Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita Recipe

This recipe is SO yummy! During quarantine, I became quite the experimental bartender! LOL! But to be honest, I can appreciate a good quality cocktail! I love the craftsmanship, mixology skill, and beauty in a well-made cocktail! I love trying new ones at restaurants because there is truly a science and skill that go into it! I would love to take a cocktail-making class! I am by no means, an expert AT ALL, but I do enjoy a well-made cocktail and have thrown together a few!

SO I listed in the notes of the recipe that I found the most amazing low glycemic agave sweetener for cocktails! Yesssss girl! I got you! It's like a keto sweetener! You can make any cocktail you want and make it a skinny one! It's called Madhava Organic Agave Five and I have only found it at my local Nob Hill! If you make this, let me know what you thought! xoxo

Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas

  • 2 Strawberries

  • ¼ Jalapeño (seeds removed)

  • 3 oz Silver tequila

  • 2 oz Cointreau

  • 1.5 oz Agave Five

  • 2 oz Fresh lime juice

  • Ice for shaker

Garnishes

  • 2 Strawberries

  • 2 slice Jalapeños

  • Margarita salt for rim

  • Ice

  1. Add the strawberies and jalapeños to a shaker and muddle really well.

  2. After the strawberries and jalapeños are muddled to a slush, add half a cup of ice to the shaker.

  3. Add the tequila, cointreau, lime juice, agave sweetener and shake generously for a good 30 seconds.

  4. Salt the rim to the glasses, add ice, then strain the mixture into 2 glasses.

  5. Garnish with a floating jalapeno slice and a strawberry on the rim.

This recipe makes 2. Sometimes I top with a little sparkling lime soda water. The sweetener I used is the BEST cocktail sweetener because it's an organic KETO low-glycemic sweetener and adds sweetness without all the calories! It's the Madhava brand and it's called Organic Agave Five! I find it only at Nob Hill.

You can double the recipe to make 4 servings or reduce it by 50% to make 1! And if you want it spicier, leave the seeds in when you muddle!
